Minuscula, Battersea Enamel Egg Late 18th Century, Pillbox
Charming, tiny pill box,or thimble box from English enamels, late 18th century, hinged, gilded copper frame.
Surface of egg is white enameled, each of the two hemispheres is decorated using technique transfer invented circa 1760, (John Sadler 1756), with tiny of columnar landscapes in violet, and in pink: a small portrait of woman, a well and a peasant with his cow, Decorations on bottom of egg are less or slightly faded.

Dimensions: 4cm x3.2cm. good condition, as always on these , fine external cracking, and some fine internal cracking. See photos.
