18th Century, 18th Century Period

Lyre-shaped skeleton pendulum, crafted in finely chased and gilded bronze, resting on an oval white marble base.

The particularly refined decoration features acanthus leaves, passementerie, eagle heads, pearl garlands and floral bouquets, perfectly illustrating the ornamental taste of the late 18th century.

The circular, crowned dial features Arabic numerals indicating hours and minutes. It is signed Piolaine in Paris, a watchmaker active at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

The dial is circular and crowned, with Arabic numerals indicating hours and minutes.

The movement, of the lamella type, has been restored. The set is presented under a glass globe with its base.
