Volkstedt Porcelain Figure Of A Young Gallant, Triebner Ens & Eckert C. 1880
A finely modelled porcelain figure produced in the Volkstedt workshops, attributed to Triebner, Ens & Eckert, circa 1880. The figure represents a young gallant in a Rococo Revival style, with a dynamic yet balanced pose and a carefully structured base.
The modelling of the head and torso is confident, with a delicately painted face and refined expression. The decoration is restrained, allowing the quality of modelling to remain dominant. The underglaze blue rosette mark on the base links the piece to the Triebner, Ens & Eckert production period. Their porcelain is recognised for combining decorative appeal with consistent technical quality.
The present figure, being larger than many comparable examples, offers strong visual presence and remains highly suitable for display.
A solid and attractive example within the late 19th-century German porcelain tradition.
