Elegant mahogany architect's desk, French work of the XIXᵉ century in the Louis XVI style.
The rectangular top is sheathed in leather framed by a gilded frieze and can be tilted, allowing comfortable use for drawing or writing. It reveals a compartmentalized interior featuring several storage compartments as well as a small central drawer.
The front opens with a large compartmentalized drawer, adorned with two round bronze handles and a central keyhole.
The piece rests on four straight, slender legs, characteristic of the Louis XVI style, giving the whole a sober, elegant line.
