Directoire-style Center Desk
An elegant, freestanding writing desk in the Directoire style, crafted from light walnut with a warm, original patina. Its geometric and understated lines reflect the refined neoclassical cabinetmaking of the period.
The distinctive feature of this piece lies in its double-sided design; it features a large pull-out drawer beneath the top that further increases the work surface area, as does the sliding main top.
The 5 drawers (both functional and decorative) are finished with cherry wood inlaid openings, onto which bronze finials were added at a later date; these can be removed according to personal taste.
Dimensions: 128 x 61 – height: 86 cm
open pull-out: 128 x 115 cm
