Pair Of Sculptures Made Of Wood And Silver-plated Copper
A beautiful pair of sculptures depicting two holy bishops, carved from wood and covered in silver-plated copper; the repoussé work on the robes, miters, and faces is exceptional. The patina of age, with the copper contrasting against the dominant silver plating, lends the figures an uncommon depth and three-dimensionality. One of the two croziers was reconstructed based on the existing model. Height: 37 and 38 cm
