Charming Louis XV-style Provençal bread bin in solid walnut, dating from the 18th century. It features an openwork front with turned balusters, which once allowed bread to be stored safely while ensuring good ventilation.
The ornate pediment is adorned with a carved rosette at its center and topped with six elegant turned fleurons. The small central door opens onto the original interior. The scalloped molding is adorned with a carved seashell, while the curved, scroll-style legs lend the piece its overall elegance.
This bread chest features a beautiful antique patina and stands as a remarkable example of 18th-century Provençal cabinetmaking.
