Original patinated terracotta sculpture of a long-haired greyhound reclining in majesty on an Empire-style daybed, circa 1900, signed on the front right at the point Ch Chivot Pour Charles Chivot ( 1866-1941). This painter, sculptor and illustrator was a pupil of Léon Bonnat. In sculpture, he is renowned for his depictions of animals.
