Antonin Amédée "Eugène" Battaille was a French painter, born in Granville on April 18, 1817, a pupil of Léon Cogniet, and known for his copy of Langlois's portrait of Maréchal Ney, the original of which has disappeared. He ceased all production around 1875 and died in Versailles on March 26, 1882.
