18th Century Reliquary In Gilded Wood
Rare and superb 18th century gilded wood reliquary case. It stands on claw feet with a palmettes frieze decoration on the top. The hollow central part features an opening for presenting the relics. It is adorned with laurel wreaths, heads, drapery and other paraphernalia. The lid is adorned with clouds and divine rays. High-quality work, original in good condition, with small chips of gilding.
