18th-century Gilded Wooden Holy Water Font
A superb and large giltwood holy water font from the 18th century; shaped all around, it is decorated with acanthus leaves, daisies, and foliage. The top is adorned with a shell, and in its center is a coat of arms bearing a cross and the inscription IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator) for Jesus, Savior of Humanity. Below is the receptacle that serves as the holy water font. A high-quality piece with exquisitely detailed carving, in excellent condition.
