About :Julien Béliard - watchmaker (1758 - circa 1810) Julien-Antoine Béliard wasone of the most important Parisian watchmakers of the late 18th century. Son,nephew and cousin of Parisian watchmakers, he was trained in his father's workshop,workshop on rue de Hurepoix, became a master watchmaker on October 21, 1786the family workshop. He was an immediate success withcollectors of fine clocks and watches, and seems to have specialized inprecision skeleton pendulums. Like the best watchmakers in the capitalthe capital, he collaborated with the most renowned craftsmen, notably thebronze founder Nicolas Bonnet and enameller Joseph Coteau.
