Belgian painter of figures, nudes, landscapes and still lifes;watercolorist, draughtsman, illustrator, decorator and engraver. Pupil of C. Montald at the Brussels Royal Academy of Fine Arts (1913-1916). Professor at the Académie de Louvain (1925-1957). Stay in the Belgian Congo (1926-1927) - in 1934, he published his travel impressions "Noirs etBlancs" - and in Morocco (1931-1933). Works on monumentalmonumental decorations (Congo pavilion at the 1937 Paris and New Yorkin New York), tapestry cartoons. Numerous solo andexhibitions: Algiers, Stockholm, Rome, Paris...
