Antique Sfbj Doll - Jumeau Model - Size 12 - Bisque Head - Early XXᵉ Century
Charming antique doll produced by the Société Française de Fabrication de Bébés et Jouets - SFBJ, featuring the famous Jumeau models, among the French dolls most sought after by collectors.
This doll features a biscuit head with a light, luminous complexion, finely modeled, with delicate features of expression characteristic of Maison Jumeau productions. The face is enlivened by an open mouth revealing the teeth, a detail much appreciated on these models.
The original eyes are present (currently disassembled but kept with the doll), as well as the wig. The eyebrows are finely drawn and the modelling of the face retains all its softness.
The head is in very good condition, with no cracks, restorations or accidents.
The articulated body is also in perfect condition, with its fingers intact, without lack or repair. The joints are well preserved and the whole presents a beautiful harmony.
The doll is in perfect condition.
The doll is offered without clothes, but retains her antique shoes.
The SFBJ dolls reprising the Jumeau models were produced in the early XXᵉ century, after the reunion of several major French dollmaking houses. They perpetuate the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the famous Parisian dolls of the XIXᵉ century.
A lovely antique French doll, highly decorative and ideal for completing a collection.
