Pair Of Delft Vases
A rare and elegant pair of Delftware vases, dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, exquisitely illustrating the golden age of Delftware production. These vases feature a slender, baluster-shaped body and long cylindrical neck, characteristic of models inspired by Kangxi Chinese porcelain, highly prized in Europe at that time. The decoration, painted in cobalt blue on a white ground, consists of reserved panels adorned with stylized floral motifs and lively landscapes, framed by lambrequins and finely executed geometric elements. The quality of the design, the vibrancy of the blue, and the balanced proportions testify to a high level of craftsmanship, typical of Delft workshops at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. The pair maintains a beautiful homogeneity, forming a decorative ensemble particularly sought after by collectors. In very good overall condition considering their age, with wear, slight irregularities in the firing process, and minor marks consistent with an antique production. A highly elegant decorative pair, ideal for display in a sideboard, on a mantelpiece, or in a cabinet of curiosities.
