This model is distinguished by its imposing, perfectly balanced structure, resting on sculpted armrests in the form of stylized sphinxes, elegantly blending animal and plant elements. The particularly spectacular arm brackets feature powerful heads surmounted by deeply carved foliage, ending in highly expressive clawed paws. This decorative vocabulary, inspired by Antiquity and late Baroque, is characteristic of 19th-century Neapolitan production.
