The slightly sloping rectangular backrest is framed by wooden stiles and punctuated with decorative motifs typical of the Empire style: palmettes, rosettes, laurel leaves, and floral friezes.

The armrests, upholstered at the top, are topped with crooks adorned with gilded bronze.

The front legs, straight and architecturally styled, are also decorated with bronze appliqués and rest on beautiful gilded bronze claw feet.

The seat and backrest are upholstered in an elegant cream-colored fabric with tone-on-tone motifs of laurel wreaths and palmettes, in harmony with the piece’s ornamentation.
