Dauphinoise Chest Of Drawers Attributed To The Hache Family, Louis XIV Period Circa 1710

Artist: Famille Hache

Elegant Louis XIV period Dauphinoise commode, attributed to the Hache family, active in Grenoble in the early 18th century.

This model, dating from the years 1700-1710, features a structure that is still architectural, characteristic of the Louis XIV style, while already heralding an evolution towards softer forms.

It is made of walnut, lemon and rosewood veneers, typical of Dauphiné production during this period.
The top is adorned with a geometric inlaid decoration, sober and balanced, highlighting the contrast of the woods.

The front opens onto a three-panel door.

The front opens with three drawers. It is distinguished by the quality of its execution, particularly the veneer returns on the drawers, a sign of particularly meticulous workmanship.
The play of fillets structures the whole with rigor and elegance, in a spirit faithful to the productions attributed to the Hache workshops.

The proportions are particularly accurate, offering a piece of furniture that is both functional and easy to integrate, including into contemporary interiors.

The ensemble has a beautiful antique patina, revealing the depth and richness of the species used.

A fine quality piece, representative of Dauphin know-how in the early 18th century, combining rigor, legibility and presence.
