Published by MARTINET Aaron (1762-1841), son of MARTINET François-Nicolas, he established himself as a print merchant on rue du Coq Saint Honoré in Paris. He soon became famous for the English-style caricatures displayed in his shop window (Le Suprême Bon Ton). He also opened a reading room, which numbered 7 to 8,000 volumes at the beginning of the French Restoration.
