Box made using the cloisonné technique (cloisonné enamel). The dominant motif on the lid is morning glory in shades of pink, red and blue on a background of bright green enamel. The sides of the box are adorned with small stylized flowers and geometric borders.
Diameter 14 cm, height 8 cm.
Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912). Visible mark on the underside.
Relatively good condition, visible cracks in the enamel on the lid and small chip inside.
