A set of eleven knives with silver blades, ferrules, and pommels, 18th century, with wooden handles, probably boxwood. Hallmarked Paris 1773 by the cutler Jean Charles Michault (several of his works are in the Louvre's collections). Length 19.5 cm. Excellent condition. Original case. Also included is a twelfth knife of a similar model, hallmarked 1819-1838. A rare set.
