Beautiful round silver platter from the 18th century. Hallmarked in Paris 1731-1732 by the silversmith Charles Girard (his hallmark was used from 1722 to 1736). The design features a filleted rim and shows traces of old restoration. It displays fine hallmarks: charge, discharge, silversmith's mark, and guild mark. Diameter 27.6 cm, depth 3 cm. Weight 518 grams. Not polished, with scratches from use.
