Carved Armchair, Louis XIV Period
A beautiful armchair with a high, flat, rectangular back in turned, molded and carved walnut, the strongly curved armrests decorated with seeds, acanthus leaves, flowers and florets, resting on four legs joined by an H-shaped stretcher, with a motif alternating balusters, balls and discs, the front legs ending in acanthus leaves (minor damage and repaired sections).
