Magnificent large (15-20 cm) autograph signature by Andy Warhol (1928-1987) in black felt-tip pen (Magic marker precisely) on the original English edition of ANDY WARHOL'S EXPOSURES, his first collection of photographs.
Original English edition, 1979, printed in the USA by Hutchinson & Co. Large hardcover volume (29 x 24 cm) with its famous illustrated dust jacket in very good condition (rare). Clean and fresh interior. Copy signed in London in November 1979 during the promotional tour for the original English edition. Certificate of authenticity.
EXPOSURES is full of photographs but also humorous and typically Warholian anecdotes about fame and money. The black and white images were taken at Studio 54, at social dinners, or behind the scenes at the Factory. It features an impressive number of personalities from the era (nearly 300), including: John Lennon, Salvador Dalí, Mick Jagger, Debbie Harry, Liza Minnelli, Truman Capote, Yves Saint Laurent, etc.
