Georges MAXIM (1885-1940) "The Spinner" Small patinated bronze figure on a burgundy marble base.
The figure is seated in an armchair, working with an adorable little cat at her feet. The figure rotates on its base around an axis screwed beneath the base. A small hole is specially drilled in the top of the marble to accommodate a stop.
Very good overall condition, minor chips to the marble and wear consistent with age and use of the bronze. Cartouche nailed to the base.
