Beautiful and elegant bowl / figurative trinket dish in Bohemian porcelain, crafted by the Royal Dux factory, depicting a young woman seated next to a large amphora, above a large shell-shaped bowl.

The Royal Dux factory, located in Dux, Bohemia—now Duchcov in the Czech Republic—was particularly renowned in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for its significant decorative porcelain pieces and Art Nouveau figurines. The period around 1900 marked one of the high points of its artistic production.

The piece bears the signature “HAMPEL” on the reverse, referring to the sculptor and modeler Alois Hampel, whose collaboration with Royal Dux is well documented. Hampel played an active role in developing the manufactory’s Art Nouveau designs in the early 20th century.

The base also bears the famous pink triangular “Royal Dux Bohemia” stamp, as well as the model number 1149.
