Organic Brutalist Coffee Table In Solid Cedar, Log Pedestal, 1970s
Maison Lecan presents this solid cedar coffee table from the 1970s, carved directly from the tree. The slab top, with its generously rounded edges and free-flowing contours, rests on a solid trunk preserved in its raw state—visible knots, bark sculpted by time, a dense and vibrant material. No construction, no joinery: two pieces of solid wood, one placed on top of the other. The cedar reveals an exceptional range of tones on its surface—light blond, powdery pink, pinkish and ochre veins that blend together depending on the light. The visible knots and variations in grain make each centimeter a different interpretation of the wood. A unique piece, impossible to reproduce exactly. At 102 cm long and 54 cm high—generous for a coffee table—it naturally commands the center of a living room. Approximately 60 kg. LDP Reference: 20260323-004. Dimensions: W 102 x D 68 x H 54 cm. Material: Solid cedar. Weight: Approximately 60 kg.
