Fragment of a fluted serpentine (green marble) column
19th – early 20th century, in the Antique style

Dimensions:
Height: 61 cm;
Diameter - base: 25 cm.

This fragment displays particularly fine fluting, with well-defined edges.

The shaft displays a regular curvature with a slightly varying section (entasis).

The serpentine offers beautiful shades ranging from dark green to lighter green, punctuated by slight natural mottling.
Its surface, patinated by time, shows some signs of wear.
Whether intentionally or from earlier fragmentation, the column has an oblique break in its upper part and on one side.

Perfectly stable, this fragment stands upright without the need for support, making it easy to integrate into a decorative display.

Good overall condition, fragmentary; visible chips and damage, consistent with the nature of the object.
