Bronze with a brown patina, signed and numbered 1/8, with the Silva Poseidon foundry mark.
Dimensions: 24 cm high, 14 cm wide, 20 cm deep. Weight: over 6 kg.
A man of the land, he expressed himself as a draftsman, painter, and sculptor.
He created his early works from recycled materials.
President of the Society of Artists.
Success confirmed his talent; numerous exhibitions since 1975 in Paris, throughout France, in Amsterdam, Ivory Coast, and Portugal contributed to his renown as an artist.
Since 1986, the Pétridès Gallery has exhibited his works alongside those of Vlaminck, Utrillo, Foujita, Marquet, Renoir, and Dufy.
Presenting numerous solo exhibitions in Paris and the surrounding region, he also exhibited at the Galerie des Portes Chanac (Tulle, 1999) and the Galerie Sédières (Clergoux, 2000).
He also received five sculpture prizes in the Essonne department between 1980 and 1988 and the Essonne General Council Medal in 1989.
In parallel, Michel Tardy regularly and passionately served as president of the Société des Artistes d'Argentat, which brings together local artists.
Invariably, every summer, from July 14th to On August 15, he offered an eclectic exhibition to a local and tourist audience, in the hall of the old market hall, Place Delmas.
Combining creations by local artists, reflecting his own style, he juxtaposes the exhibited works with appropriate quotes from famous figures, in order to stimulate reflection beyond the simple act of viewing.
In 2019, the society, under his presidency, inaugurated the 35th Art Exhibition.
Deeply attached to Argentat-sur-Dordogne, where he resided from May to September, he maintained friendly contact with his many friends.
In good original and used condition, with no cracks, chips, or breaks.
