Bronze Sculpture "dancer", Kostas Dikefalos (born In 1956), Signed
Artist: Kostas Dikefalos
"Dancer" - an impressive bronze sculpture by Kostas Dikefalos (born in 1956). Magnificent from every angle and signed. Mounted on an 8 cm x 8 cm marble base.
We also offer "Two Dancers," another bronze sculpture by the same artist. Visit our website or contact us with any questions.
Kostas Dikefalos was born in Zakynthos in 1956. He studied sculpture under Yannis Pappas, Thodoros Papayannis, and Giorgos Nikolaidis, as well as ceramics under Giorgos Georgiou at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1976-1982). His work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Greece.
He has also exhibited internationally, notably at the Rencontre des pays méditerranéens in Marseille in 1985 and at the Fukuhara University International Sculpture Competition in Japan (1996), where he won first prize.
He is known for his meticulous work and his pursuit of clarity of form, qualities magnificently illustrated in this work. His compositions extend vertically or horizontally, allowing light to caress the surfaces and emphasize the volumes, which often suggest continuous movement.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has collaborated with other artists on the creation of public monuments and participated in competitions; notably, he received second prize for the Greek Resistance memorials in Amfissa (1986), Halkida (1987), and Holargos (1988).
