A Louis XVI period mahogany jardinière, resting on four tapered and fluted legs, with a zinc-lined drawer on the side to collect overflow. All the bronze mounts are chased and gilded; a very fine piece of furniture. Joseph Stockel (1743-1802), Cabinetmaker, Paris. Master on August 2, 1775. Of German origin.
