Rare Lacquered Sideboard. Venetian Lagoon, Last Quarter Of The 17th Century.

Splendid lacquered sideboard with two doors of remarkable quality and importance that is characterized by a structural crescent move. The piece of furniture is entirely lacquered and maintains its original lacquer originally celestial that over time has turned into a pale and greenish color. Minute genre allegories are represented that refer to human virtues in connection with nature or to the cyclical nature of the seasons of superb pictorial quality. These characters are framed by elegant decorative frames of classical taste composed of festoons, drapes and bells that refer to the sobriety of late imperial decorations.

The piece of furniture in excellent structural conservation conditions and of the sumptuous lacquered decoration, is typical of the lagoon areas of the lower Veneto or probably made for an important Venetian furnishing, and was made in a period between 1670 and 1720.
