Description

Antique painted wardrobe featuring particularly noteworthy decorations: the entire surface is embellished with a motif imitating wood veneering arranged in a herringbone pattern across four sections, in shades of light blue and beige.
On the sides and mouldings appear the classic intertwined “Maria Theresa of Austria” motifs, with faux‑marble colouring in pale red and light blue.
On the door, two panels depict tree‑covered hills. Just below the top cornice runs a band containing the only floral decorations, along with the name of the first owner and the construction date.
The overall colour effect is very delicate: a piece of furniture capable of warming any living space with elegance and restraint.
Inside, the original shelf is still present, together with a half‑depth shelf positioned just below the top of the wardrobe.
Beautiful original hardware, fully functional.
The wardrobe has been partially restored, and the interior layout can be customised.

Standard work carried out on all our furniture:

– Structural restoration: replacement of small missing parts, closing of possible cracks in the back panel, consolidation of weakened zones, inspection and repair of the hardware.
– Thorough woodworm treatment.
– Cleaning and sanitisation of the interior.
– Exterior finish with natural beeswax.
– Interior finish with shellac, a natural alcohol‑based varnish.

Customisations:

On request, it is possible to define:

  • the desired degree of restoration
  • the interior layout (addition of clothing rails, shelves, dividers, etc.)
