Empire Period Stepped Desk In Flame Mahogany Veneer
A stepped desk in flame mahogany veneer, Empire period. Richly ornamented with gilt bronze mounts. The top is covered in tan leather. It opens with three stepped drawers and a wide drawer in the front forming a writing surface. A mahogany shelf covered in tan leather with a gilt bronze inkwell is also present. It rests on four column legs, adorned with gilt bronze rings and capitals, mounted on casters. Original lock with working key. French polished. Very good condition. Note: leg clearance: 60 cm.
