Burgundy leather top framed by the wooden structure (shows signs of use).
The upper rear section forms a pencil compartment with an inkwell compartment.
The top lifts up to reveal a large storage compartment.(Paint stain on the inside—see photo).
On the right side, you’ll find a small drawer with a gilded bronze knob where quills and other writing accessories were once stored.
This elegant desk rests on a turned, column-style base connected by an H-shaped crossbar and topped with finely chiseled gilded bronze capitals.
Perfectly stable.
Height below the waistline: 64 cm.
In beautiful condition with a lovely patina on the wood and bronze.
