Pair Of Empire Style Lamps.
These large Empire-style lamps are made of silver-plated metal. Shaped like columns, they rest on a stepped square base, the rim of which is chased with a row of small palmettes. The base of the columns features superimposed rows of palmettes, acanthus leaves, and water leaves. The stem is adorned with flat ribs bordered by grooves, and the upper section, chased with palmettes, terminates in a very wide socket resting on a gadrooned cup. These lamps have recently been electrified, and we offer them with a basic lampshade to allow customers to choose the color and shape, as these choices do not always justify the shipping costs. 20th century.
