Standing Man Or Cabinet Louis XIII.
This piece of furniture opens with two doors and a drawer on the front, called a standing man or cabinet depending on the region, it is made of solid walnut. The sobriety of its decor and its small dimensions demonstrate that it is most certainly a piece of furniture for a religious community, the decor is made up of quadrilobed patterns for the front panels and diamond patterns for the panels, the central drawer covered with A wrought iron handle is surrounded by a molding. The body of the furniture has a cornice at the top, bottom and halfway up which surrounds it. 17th century period, probably South-West of France. Usual restorations. Dimensions, height 178 cm, width 84 cm, depth 55 cm.
