Royal Copenhagen – Tenera Model Vase Glazed Ceramic – Denmark, 20th Century
Royal Copenhagen – Tenera Vase, Glazed Ceramic – Denmark, 20th Century. This elegant cylindrical glazed ceramic vase was produced by the prestigious Danish manufacturer Royal Copenhagen and belongs to the renowned Tenera series, emblematic of 20th-century Scandinavian design. This model features a stylized decoration of geometric plant motifs in a palette of deep blues enhanced with violet and brown hues, set against a white glazed background. The well-balanced vertical composition is framed by two decorative friezes at the top and bottom, adding rhythm and elegance to the whole. The glaze reveals subtle variations in tone, typical of Royal Copenhagen's artistic productions, whose ceramics are renowned for their high-quality firing and rich glazes. The Tenera series, developed in the 1960s and 70s, is part of the modern Scandinavian design movement, characterized by clean lines and stylized motifs inspired by nature. The underside bears the Royal Copenhagen Denmark factory mark, featuring the three characteristic waves, as well as the model numbers and production marks. A decorative piece highly representative of Nordic aesthetics, at once understated, graphic, and timeless. In very good condition.
