Small Louis XV Style Basket Bench – Late 19th Century. Charming small Louis XV style basket bench, made at the end of the 19th century. It rests on an elegant carved, molded, and painted wooden frame, supported by four cabriole legs ending in small sabots. The undulating apron is adorned with discreet carved decoration in the Rococo style, characteristic of the Louis XV style. The enveloping back and slightly raised armrests give this bench a particularly harmonious and comfortable silhouette. It is upholstered in a fabric with a rich floral design in the spirit of Arts & Crafts-inspired textiles. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
