Louis XV Style Sofa, Early 19th Century
Louis XV style sofa, dating from the late 18th/early 19th century. The sofa is made of beechwood covered with stucco and old gilding, but remains in its original condition and will require restoration. Traces of makeup are visible on worn areas. A label was found affixed to a lower rail, likely identifying its former owner, Paul Fould (1837-1917), from an old banking family.
