Small lacquered and gilded bronze Buddhist sculpture depicting the Buddha being served by a monkey and an elephant. He is seated in the Parileyyaka forest; this scene with animals in devotion is often used to illustrate a Buddhist moral story. This episode is very popular in Southeast Asian art.
