Caucasian Rug. Kazakh Motifs. Circa 1880. 203 X 127 Cm
A flamboyant Caucasian rug originating from Azerbaijan. It displays all the characteristics of traditional Caucasian rugs: a short pile, a delicate and precise knotted knot, remarkable wool quality, and of course, breathtaking natural and vegetal dyes. Here, a minimalist composition features large motifs arranged with complete mastery across the surface. The luminosity and depth of the colors are exceptional. It captivates instantly at first glance. For us, it's a favorite, an essential piece, the perfect representation of the most delicate creations attributed to the nomadic Kazakh people. Circa 1880 or earlier. Very good condition. Some restoration work has been carried out by us, respecting traditional techniques. A rather compact size, ideal for displaying in your home. Dimensions: 203 x 127 cm. Laurent Beauty of Kilims
