Murano, Fazzoletto Vase, 20th Century
Murano glass vase, fazzoletto (handkerchief) pattern, decorated with filigree trellis motifs alternating with twisted ribbons in red, yellow, blue, and green, all embellished with subtle touches of gold. In its style, this piece reflects the spirit of the Italian designer Fulvio Bianconi (1915-1996), who, from 1946 onwards, created colorful and highly modern designs for the Venini glassworks, established on the island of Murano since 1921.
