Important Kadjar Tray, 101 X 75 Cm, Persia, 19th Century, In Very Good Condition

Superb and exceptional large antique oval Kadjar tray, in repoussé and chiseled tinned copper.
Persia, last quarter of the 19th century.
In a paradisiacal Persian garden, where flowering trees bloom at the foot of mosques, beneath a sky filled with large birds in flight, young men appear to be praising beautiful young female musicians who are feeding sublime birds... In the center, below, an older man is crouching, engrossed in reading a book... Is he reciting a passage from the famous "Conference of the Birds," of which the theme of this tray is an illustration?...
This long, mystical, and philosophical poem, written at the end of the 12th century by the Sufi poet Farid-ud-Din Attar, recounts the story and journey of thousands of birds, guided by the Hoopoe (isn't that the Hoopoe, on a branch in the center?), in search of the Supreme Being, through the Simorgh, a great mythological bird...
This scene, full of grace and poetry, the piece comes alive in relief through the repoussé technique and the contrast of copper and silver, accompanied by extremely fine chasing whose details never cease to amaze. From the tips of the leaves to the delicate plumage of the birds, from the grace of the faces to the different patterns of the garments, every detail reveals a very high level of skill as a chaser... who left no signature, unless it is very cleverly concealed... in any case, it has escaped us...
Along the edge of the tray, separated by interlacing flowering branches, copper medallions are chased with birds, antelopes, lions, and hares, alternating with representations of mosques, each one different.
The back has a hanging ring, clearly added later. Very good condition.
