An exceptionally rich and historically significant collection of original early 20th-century French photographic postcards, preserved in an authentic Art Nouveau photo album dating from around 1905. This collection constitutes a remarkable historical document of the Belle Époque and includes views of cityscapes, society scenes, seaside resorts, and photojournalism from France and Europe. The heart of the collection is a rare series of postcards illustrating the 1910 Paris floods (the Great Flood of the Seine), one of the most emblematic urban disasters in French history.
