"Brescia Steel Powder Flask"
A semi-cylindrical, triangular iron powder flask, decorated with a symmetrical pattern of oblique ribs extending onto the spout. The integrated dispenser has a hinged spring mechanism ensuring precise dispensing of the powder; the spring terminates in a tassel-shaped tip. The back and base are flat, and the original belt hook, tapering to a spoon shape at the bottom, is intact. Four suspension rings are present, originally intended for attaching decorative fringes.
This type of flask comes from the Brescia region of Northern Italy and can be dated to around 1620-1640.
The flask is in excellent condition.
