A Napoleon III period vermeil (gilt silver) sewing set in its original box. It includes: - A pair of scissors - A needle case - An embroidery awl - A thimble - A boar's head needle. The tools are hallmarked with a boar's head. They are in fairly good condition. There is a slight dent on one end of the needle case. The scissor blades are sharp and clean. They cut fabric well. The thimble has lost its gilding. It has no holes or dents. The box measures 12.3 cm in length. The tortoiseshell has some hairline cracks but is in good overall condition.
