A 19th-century porcelain egg-shaped sewing kit decorated with polychrome flowers on a black background. It has a gilt metal mount with a chain and a carrying ring. The kit contains a small pair of scissors (5.8 cm), a thimble, and a small embroidery awl (4.8 cm), all in gilt metal. The small needle case and the needle threader are missing. The egg measures approximately 9 cm.
