Early 19th Century Solid 18-carat Gold Sewing Kit Thimble Scissors Case
Gold sewing set from the early 19th century, Restoration period in a red morocco-covered case.
It contains:
- A pair of embroidery scissors
- A thimble (one hole but no dent)
- A needle case
- A needle passe-lacet cure -oreille
- A salt bottle with gold stopper
- 3 mother-of-pearl bobbins
The scissors, needle case, needle passe-lacet, thimble are in 18-carat assif gold. They are hallmarked except for the thimble, whose hallmark was certainly placed where there is a small hole.
In other respects, the tools are in very good condition.
