A very beautiful antique piece of furniture in richly carved solid wood, in the Renaissance/Henri II style, resting on four turned legs joined by a lower stretcher forming a shelf. Description: This piece comprises: A top drawer adorned with carved rosettes on the front, with a central handle. A lower cabinet with a door, decorated with a remarkable central medallion in relief, with a finely worked circular motif (stylized floral decoration with a contrasting background). Carved uprights and side panels decorated with foliage and geometric patterns. An openwork lower stretcher, providing stability and elegance to the whole. A molded top with a carved frieze around the edge. The dark patina highlights the depth of the carvings and the wood grain. Style & Period: Work in the Renaissance/Henri II style, late 19th century. A characterful piece, typical of historically inspired furniture. Good overall condition considering its age: Solid and stable structure. Wear and tear consistent with its age.
